REVIEWS
I loved my time with Wei-Ting because I learnt so much in that short space of time. She taught me how to really look at a tree and notice the different shapes and how the sunlight created shadows and light. Since Saturday I have been studying trees and the shapes they make and I?ve practiced sketching some from books before I go out for a country walk later in the week. I so look forward to the next tutorial in January.

Title or Location: Near Portmeirion.
I enjoy drawing trees. My favorite hobby is to find these trees and take photos of them. All trees are beautiful, but some trees are special. I saw this tree in the forest near Portmeirion in Wales. Many thin trees surrounded it from me. The drawing is origionally black and white. I added a small bouquet of dried flowers and painted some leaves.

Title or Location: Man on a train
We were on holiday in Italy, travelling between Lake garda and Venice when we met this man on the train. He was absolutely fascinating he was a travel writer specialising in religious sites and pilgrimages. He had such a fascinating face he let me take his photo to paint. I love the fluidity, looseness and jeopardy of water colour.

Title or Location: The Girls
This is Isla, Ellie and Millie. Oil on canvas 27.5 inches x 39.5. They are my friends daughters. I often ask how 'the girls' are doing and there's always a funny story. Isla is full of mischief. Ellie is the sassy budding artist and Millie is a 'little devil' in the best way. I thought it was important to try and capture each of their personalities by working and finishing one at a time. They are beautiful girls. This was a pleasure to paint and I feel it has really tested my ability. I've defin

Title or Location: Memories of Bassano Del Grappa
A beautiful town in northern Italy - a town who protected partisans during WW2 and suffered the loss of all men and boys as retribution. Today it still bears the marks of war on the walls of the town, with the wooden bridge having been rebuilt a number of times due to war. This mosaic commission was created for a much happier reason, to commemorate a long held friendship between two families, here in Australia and there in Italy. Entirely created with hand cut pieces of glass.
